When we wrapped production on our first silhouette, we knew where we wanted to go next. If NUVÓ Signature 01 was about grounding clear lines with soft, seated geometry, NUVÓ Signature 02 was born from a much more audacious design question:
What does it feel like to sit on air?
Take a look at traditional armchair construction. Most chairs are heavy boxes wrapped in batting, wood frames, springs, and yards of fabric to hide the internal skeletal structure. With NUVÓ Signature 02, we stripped all of that clutter away. We wanted pure transparency—a piece of functional architecture where every single bolt, angle, and cushion roll is exposed, intentional, and balanced.
The Architecture of Suspension: 6 Floating Bolsters
The heart of NUVÓ Signature 02 is its segmented curved seat. Instead of one continuous dense foam block, we engineered an anatomical sweep using six independent cylindrical cushions suspended directly between two massive vertical planes of crystal-clear acrylic.
Getting this curve right wasn’t just a styling exercise; it was an ergonomic obsession:

The Ergonomic Arc: Notice how the six bolster tubes follow the natural contour of the spine and legs—supporting the thighs, relaxing the lower lumbar, and gently catching the upper back at a relaxed recline.

Proportions That Ground a Room: Measuring 738mm (29 inches) in width across the bolster axis, 865mm (34 inches) in lateral depth, and standing at a balanced 775mm (31 inches) in height, it commands a footprint that feels monumental yet completely weightless.

Precision Metal Connectors: Heavy-gauge, machined metal hubs securely anchor each cylindrical roll through precision CNC drillings in the side walls. Every fastener is exposed, polished, and finished like an industrial jewel.
The Transparent Side Walls: Strength in Pure Clarity
A chair that suspends human weight entirely from its side walls demands uncompromising material selection. You cannot build this out of thin, flexible plastic.
For NUVÓ Signature 02, we utilize thick, virgin-grade cast acrylic panels with wide radiused corners.

Zero Deflection: The side walls act as both the legs and structural chassis, absorbing downward pressure effortlessly without twisting or flexing.

Diamond-Beveled Edges: Every edge undergoes rigorous multi-stage diamond polishing and flame finishing. Run your hand across the top rim, and you won’t encounter a sharp line—just a smooth, glassy radius that refracts natural sunlight across your floor.

Artistic Versatility: Because these acrylic planes are so pure, they also double as a clean canvas. Whether left purely transparent to let light pass unobstructed or custom-printed with subtle graphic art along the glass, the piece transforms depending on how light strikes your room.
Tactile Cushioning Built for Real Living
A chair can look like a sculptural museum installation, but if it isn’t comfortable, it fails as a chair.
Each of the six cylindrical rolls is packed with high-density, high-resilience foam designed to hold its perfect tubular shape over years of use without collapsing. Wrapped in textured, tactile woven fabrics or weather-resilient textiles, the bolsters provide a pillowy, ergonomic grip the moment you sink into the incline.
Whether positioned on a sunlit stone terrace, an open-concept living area, or a minimalist studio loft, it doesn’t block visual space. The room flows right through it.
